Between undergraduate and law school, Kevin became a Certified Public Accountant. During this time, Kevin worked for a major public accounting firm where he audited and engaged in tax planning for a variety of business entities including a multinational food conglomerate, retail malls, banks, savings and loans, municipalities, leasing enterprises, and oil and gas interests.

Kevin has written and lectured on many business and tax-related topics, including the selection and formation of business entities and tax-exempt organizations. Kevin’s practice of real estate law began in earnest while serving in the real estate department of a large law firm in San Francisco prior to moving to Santa Rosa. Since then, he has handled a variety of real estate matters, including purchase and sale transactions, real estate-secured financing, leases, tenancy-in-common arrangements, workouts, easements and property disputes. Kevin also has extensive experience structuring 1031 exchanges.

Kevin’s estate planning practice includes preparation of wills, trusts and other estate planning documents as well as planning for succession of closely held and family-owned businesses.

Most importantly, Kevin prides himself on taking a conscientious, common-sense, cost-effective and personable approach to his practice. Many of Kevin’s clients regard him as their general counsel, and he is often the first call his clients make when confronted with any legal issue.

Kevin has served in a variety of community organizations, including the Santa Rosa Downtown Association, Luther Burbank Rose Parade & Festival, Sonoma County Repertory Theatre, Active 20/30 and, most recently, coaching Rincon Valley Little League.
